Tarte Lipsurgence- Exposed (dupe) // Revlon Super Lustrous- Blushed

Hey everybody! I have another dupe again today :) also I've been trying to cut down on the length of my posts so I'm starting to use these collages...are they more user friendly? or would you prefer individual photos...
Swatch~ L: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick-Blushed R: Tarte LipSurgence-Exposed
Lip Swatch- Top Lip: Blushed, Bottom Lip: Exposed
Anyways! As everyone knows the Tarte LipSurgence pencils are definitely a craze in the beauty community, especially this little beauty in Exposed. It's basically a fairly neutral matte lipcolor that is flattering on most people. I wouldn't classify it as a nude, but more of a refined neutral pink. But I'm sure you've probably seen swatches somewhere :)

Formulation
Well the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Blushed is almost an exact dupe except Blushed isn't completely matte like Exposed. Honestly this doesn't really bother me because the Revlon lipstick doesn't dry out my lips like the Tarte one, but I'm sure some people would prefer a matte

Also the Revlon lipstick has no smell (woohoo!!!) and the Tarte Lipsurgence pencil is very minty.

i think this dupe is a great option as the picture pretty much speaks for itself and in the lip swatch I would say Blushed is more of a wearable color...on me anyways...it has slightly less of the brown undertone and doesn't go on patchy at all.

Price Tag
For $5-$6 the Revlon lipstick is definitely more budget friendly, as the Tarte pencil is a whopping $24.
You could buy almost five revlon lipsticks for that price!

Have you guys found any other good dupes? Or any colors you want me to find dupes for?

  4. I love both Revlon lipsticks and Tarte Lipsurgence pencils! I haven't used any of the matte lip pencils though but that is a bummer that they are drying :/
