Hey everyone! Today I have been tagged by the lovely Amna over at http://asqgenerates.blogspot.com (if you stop by tell her I sent you :) to do The Skincare Tag! I've seen this tag going around and thought it looked nice so I thought I'd partake :)
|Left:heres a picture of me looking a little less than happy at the renaissance thingy I went to for my brother |
Right: me without makeup (right) since this is after all the skincare tag!!!
1. Describe your skincare routine in five words.
ummmm....deep-cleansing, exfoliating, hydrating, pore control
(if it's hyphenated it only counts as one word rightt....?)
2. What's your skin type?
dehydrated skin prone to clogged pores on my nose and a slightly oily t zone
3. What's your favorite skin care product?
Well I recently did an entire post on my top skincare picks for my mini series (The Starting Off project) that you can find here. But my favorite would have to be the Derma-E Microdermabrasion scrub. It's so great it literally unclogs all my pores and leaves my skin so baby soft (including the skin on my nose!!! which gets so congested)
4. Top blemish zapper?
Origins Super Spot Remover by far. It's Salicylic Acid which works the best for me (my skin hates benzoyl peroxide with a passion...does nothing for the spot except get horrendously flaky) so if you've found that salicylic acid works better for your skin I would recommend this for my entire life. It's so concentrated and great...gets rid of the spot overnight (or at least flattens it)
5. Face wipes...Yay or nay?
I have them...mainly to get off the panda eyes in the morning for when I don't quite get all of my waterproof mascara off... but occasionally I do use them to take my makeup off. My faves are made by Simple, Ponds, or the "Yes To..." lines. Haven't tried a dud wipe from any of them
6. Toner... Yay or nay?
YAY! It is wonderful. especially if you have acne prone skin it kills off the bacteria that could make it worse or cause spots to appear, helps to tighten pores and is just all around great. Did you know that people used to and still do use vodka for face toner?
7. High end skincare or high end makeup?
High end skincare hands down. I'd rather have nice skin my entire life than try and cover up badly taken care of skin with nice makeup. Your makeup will NEVER look good if you're constantly just trying to hide poorly taken care of skin (not saying that drugstore skincare will harm you horrible..but there are definitely nicer ingredients in higher end...and I'm surgically attached to my Origins products)
8.You're in a French Pharmacy and can only buy one item. What would it be?
Probably Bioderma simply because it's SO OVERPRICED everywhere else and I feel like other French pharmacy brands are closer to the same price if you can get them in other countries
9. Top skincare tip?
TAKE YOUR MAKEUP OFF AND SCRUB YOUR FACE. I used to be HORRIBLE at this but now that I do it religiously I think my skin is in pretty good condition. I walk around without makeup on probably at least 4 days a week. Don't get me wrong I adore makeup (obviously) I'm just too busy. And as soon as I stuck to my skincare routine regularly it's been a night and day difference
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! And if you are reading this I TAG YOU! and tweet me if you did do it! I'd love to read your post! and thank you again to Amna for tagging me!
