My Inglot Palette (+ Swatches)

Hey everyone! I know my posting has been a little strange lately but with medical school and finals coming up everything has been super crazy in my life (excuses, excuses, I know). Recently I reached 600 followers on bloglovin and I wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. My medical school class is only 100 people so imagining 6 times that many reading my blog is just insane!!!

If you don't know, Inglot is a Polish brand, so what better place to buy it than Poland!! (If you guys ever take a vacation here, which I would highly recommend because it is very cheap...buy your Inglot products here. I bought a loose powder and looked on the US website and it was $22, I paid 36PLN which is less than $10...so less than 8 british pounds?)

I've been experimenting with a lot of their products (and I love them ALL) and wanted to share today my eyeshadow palette with you guys and swatches. Longest intro in the history of intros out of the way....let's get into it!

When you go to an Inglot store (or booth...they have them all over Poland.) they have the Freedom System. So you build your own palette and can have even one single eyeshadow, or as many as up to 50 I think it was. You also pick between these larger square eyeshadows or smaller round ones that are about the same size as a MAC eyeshadow. A MAC eyeshadow is 1.5g, a round Inglot eyeshadow is 1.8g, and the square eyeshadows that I chose are 2.7g

*As a side note they also have the Freedom System for face, lips, and even brow products but I haven't tried those yet

I decided to go with a 10 pan eyeshadow palette and have written the colors on the eyeshadows (I use Picmonkey). I did the top row as a warm neutral brown toned row, and the bottom row as a grey.black smokier row. I know the first four colors look almost exactly the same in the top row but I can assure you they couldn't be more different. (you'll see in the swatches below)

This is the palette in different lighting to try and show the true colors of it (I also realizex as I uploaded this I took the picture of it upside down from the first one but I'm sure you already figured that out. Oops!)

The swatches are as true to color as I could get in my lighting, I either have bright white light from reflection off the snow outside of yellow lights from the artificial lighting in my room. But there is no way to show the true beauty of these shadows. I would say these are just as good if not better than MAC eyeshadows. They sure are a better price (each one worked out to be around $4 with the currency exchange) and you get almost twice the amount of product.

There is a little fallout from them if you don't tap your brush off but the shadows themselves are almost more dusty(?) The texture to me is more similar to the L'Oreal Infallible shadows which are pressed pigments and you have to go in with a lighter hand or a packing brush; lately I have been the BIGGEST fan of using one color with a fluffy brush all across the lid for a sheerer wash of color and it gives you almost that glossy look (no eyeliner, and mascara: BEAUTIFUL)

Almost all of these shadows I can wear by themselves on the lid and lower lash line and they all look GORGEOUS (if you wanted to know how I do my shadow...and so I don't have to say I like wearing this color by itself in every description) The first two swatches in this picture above were so hard to get true to color but the last three swatches are almost dead on (except the very last but I'll explain in a second)

111- this is a light golden champagne with shimmer, I would compare it to something like a light MAC Patina (but I don't own Patina so I can't show you a side by side comparison)

118- is a more amber toned version of the previous shadow. Even though it is shimmery it works as a nice shade to blend things together or put in your crease.

154- this is a cooler toned brown similiar to YDK by Urban Decay (if you have any of the Naked palettes you've seen it) but is just one of the best colors. I prefer this to YDK since it has less chunky glitter and fallout (this swatch is pretty accurate to the actual color)

114- if you're a fan of Amber Lights by MAC then this shadow is one for you. It's like Amber Lights's cousin. Slightly more orange toned but just as beautiful (and more pigmented)

421- no swatch can show the true beauty of this little baby. This is the best red-brown toned eyeshadow I have ever seen. Oh lordy. I know now in the winter everyone is a fan of cranberry eyeshadows (including me) and this is the perfect pairing for them. It is this satin smooth red brown color that blends so easily and wonderfully there aren't words to describe (even though that's what I'm supposed to be doing). It's safe to say this is my favorite darker brown shadow

Here is the bottom row of the palette. I know cooler toned shadows aren't everyones cup of tea and most people think that these shadows would be only used for straight up smokey eyes or nights out but that is definitely not the case at all. I know I don't do face of the day posts really but I am using a Nikon coolpix camera.........Not the best for FOTD posts. I took pictures of my makeup for an upcoming post and it took FOREVER to get two good ones.
I am saving up for a new camera though so tell me what kinds of cameras you guys use. My two criteria are that it has to have a flip out screen (the kind you turn around so you can see yourself) and I have to be able to have either a setting or be able to use a lens that blurs the background with it.
On to the swatches! Man I am rambly in today's post. I think I go into withdrawals and have so much to tell you guys when I don't post for a while that it's pent up and coming out now (I think of you all as my friends, I hope the feeling is mutual or this just got really awkward)

453- I needed a white eyeshadow. I had a horrible awful chalky one from Wet N Wild and it wasn't cutting it. But I didn't want a stark matte whiteout shade white so I went with this beauty. It has got a little sheen to it and isn't SO PIGMENTED that you get a white line (although it is pretty pigmented) it blends out like a dream and is just what I was in the market for.

152- I love silver shadows. I have grey eyes and for some reason I think grey+grey=pretty. I also love shimmer and shine. (but I can't do gold. I have cooler toned skin and blonde hair and think it looks horrible on me). This shadow ALMOST has a SLIGHT purple undertone to it. I know most silvers have blue undertones but this one is different. I know no one (usually) wears straight up silver eyeshadow but this one is great for when you're doing darker or just cooler toned looks to pat a little in the center of your eyelid, it just looks so amazing.

444- I almost keeled over and died when I saw this shadow. The first shadow palette I ever got was the Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume II. The shades I used entirely were Sin, Mushroom, and a white one I can't remember the name of. This is a perfect dupe of Mushroom. I know that shade has been in a few other palettes (Alice in Wonderland) so you may be familiar but it is the most perfect shadow ever. You can either apply it all over the lid and underneath for the perfect smoky sultry sexy (but even daytime appropriate) look. Or you can use it in the crease with so many looks. This was definitely my favorite find. (I think when UD reformulated all their shadows they kept this shade but the Inglot one is so much more buttery and blendable I'm in love)

363- This is one of those basic workhorse shades. It's a completely matte grey, purple, taupey color and will blend out anything you want or will look perfect on your lower lid or you can even sweep some close to the lash line and almost line your eyes with it. It looks so uninteresting and boring but it is one of those must have shades

62- This shadow no matter what I did (I could have stood on my head or done cartwheels) I couldn't photograph it to show what it actually looks like. It's a black with red shimmer running through it and also if you look closely it looks to have some gold and silver shimmer too. I remember when I was in 8th grade (2008) NARS had a shade exactly like it and every time I went into Sephora with my best friend Danielle I used to swatch it and ALMOST bought it but never did. (I also think there is a similar color in the Naked 3 palette?) But this black is so beautiful and so blendable. You can even use it to darken just a tad the lightest of looks. Yesterday I did a light pink neutral eye and used a light tap of this to darken the crease and didn't end up with a sever smokey eye. But I also used this for a smokey eye and it was the most beautiful smokey eye I've ever done

If you made it to the end bless your soul. I meant for this to be shorter but I am so impressed and in love with these Inglot shadows I had to share my infatuation with you all haha. There wasn't a shadow I didn't like and since trying other products I'm so in love with the brand already. (More reviews to come)

Which shades do you guys prefer? What are your favorite shades out of the ones I got? The browns or the greys?

The reason I am asking is because I am so happy and amazed and astounded that I've reached 600 followers on bloglovin and 214 on GFC (that's over 800 total!!!! The next time I get to the mall (which may or may not be soon it is snowing so freaking hard and I have med school finals now) I am going to buy a quad and giveaway to one of you guys that read my blog.

You have all been so understanding that I can't post as often as other bloggers because I am in medical school and always tweet me such nice things and wish me luck on tests etc. I honestly have the nicest best followers and I want to thank you all. I think since Inglot is less common (and way more expensive) and I'm pretty sure I like these better than my Urban Decay eyeshadows (I haven't touched a Naked palette since) I want to give away to you something that I truly love.

Again if you made it to the end you deserve a medal! But hey at least there was some good news at the end haha. I hope you enjoyed the post and let me know what you think of the shadows, giveaway, etc
I love you all.

  2. im okay but super lazy when it comes to eyeshadow haha i find it so time consuming id rather have a flawless face than do my eyeshadow and so I'm a huge fan of colors you can sweep all across and under the lid and apply mascara and go and almost every one of these you can do that :)

  36. the muhroomy color is one of my favorites, one of the first eyeshadows I ever used up was that shade so obviously its a favorite haha I was devastated when I used it up but now i found it again! and the silvery color is great! even for just patting a little bit in the center of the lid to give your eye more dimension :)
