beautyuk Posh Pouts Reviewed

beautyuk Posh Pouts* £2.99
Hey everyone! Today I'm here to talk about a lip product that I've been absolutely LOVING! The beautyuk Posh Pouts! They too have hopped on the chubby lip pencil trend, but they have suer hit the nail on the head with this one!
I absolutely adore these because they glide on super smoothly, stay put for quite a long time, and some have a staining effect on your lips! They have a shade for every time of the year (the ones I don't have are How Nude!, Would I Lilac to You, and Power to the Purple) and they are such a great product to carry around in your bag with you since the cap is super secure and won't fall off, and unlike a lipstick if you accidentally get a bit out of your lip line it doesn't stain immediately, so you still have some time to fix up if you're on the go and your hand slips a bit.

I think they're also great because they're a really moisturizing lip product, so if you're out for a long time in classes, or running errands etc you don't have to worry about your lips drying out and like a matte lip color flaking off. These keep your lips really well hydrated throughout the day.

They probably need touching up around 4 hours (with drinking and some eating) but while you're sitting at lunch waiting for the check etc. you can touch up your lips super easily because this product doesn't leave any strange buildup or residue on your lips.

As shown in the picture, they have a nice mint flavor, but it isn't overly powerful. I know some people find mint lip products extremely off-putting, but the scent does't really linger, you can't really taste it, and and it doesn't make your lips extremely tingly.

L to R : Sugar Plum Fairy, Corally Incorrect, Big Pinkin'
Here are some arm swatches of each of the colors that I have, and below are closer pictures of the actual lip pencils, and some lip swatches.

Sugar Plum Fairy*
The first one I got was Sugar Plum Fairy, which got me hooked on these balms. I got this one in the colder months (and as I had a post waiting to go up, the other too slipped into my mailbox). This is a perfect lighter berry color that i was rocking during "winter", basically whenever I could in the colder months. It isn't "too bold" so for someone who doesn't want an extremely crazy dark lip this would be perfect. I also think this is great for the transition times of the year where we are either going into or coming out of winter.

It's also a fabulous product for people who haven't really tried a bold lip before but want to see if the colors suit them, and not shock the people around them by going from a normal light lip to a super dark lip. We've all been there,  no one just woke up wearing a bold lip. And I know I was scared to go straight into a dark winter lip, I wish I had had this in my arsenal of products when I was first deciding that I wanted to experiment with the dark winter lip.

Corally Incorrect*
The next color is the most perfect and on trend color is a bright Tangerine/Coral color with a bit of a pink undertone that makes it wearable. I have been rocking this lip before I pull out the EXTREME Tangerine lip colors when it gets warmer and closer to summer. The weather here goes in and out, some days it's bright and sunny and warm like today, and others its raining like crazy!

For some reason I feel like I can only wear bright orange lips when it's sunny and hot like in the summer. The color of this is pulling a little brighter than it actually is, but if you built it up enough I'm sure this color could be achieved. I think this again is a perfect transitioning lip or a low maintenance bright lip. Because let's face it, mega bright lips require a lot of touching up and checking on throughout the day (and this doesn't).

Big Pinkin'*
The last one I have is a bright blue based pink color. I love this color because it kind of leans more towards the barbie pink spectrum, but isn't like a MAC Saint Germaine. This is like it's wearable distant cousin.

This pink definitely brightens up your face and complexion if you're having one of those blah days. I like to wear this when I feel like my skin is dull or I look tired or sick because this moves some of the attention to your lips because it definitely is a brighter pink, but I do think it also perks your whole face up as well.

So what do you guys think? Do you have any of these? I really want to try the How Nude! color as it looks like a pink based nude color, perfect for everyday wear! I love the formula of these so much (which is probably why I own so many, thanks beautyuk!). I have been so impressed with this brand as of late, I do full faces just using beatnik products without realizing it (and that's saying something, especially when you're in a rush you only reach for products that you know are good and love!).

Have you tried anything by beautyuk? They have such high quality products for such low prices I don't know how they do it really. And someone tells me the have 3 for 2 offers in Superdrug quite often. I haven't tried a product that I don't like, I can't recommend everything from personal experience but I have tried quite a bit and love everything so I think it's a safe bet to try anything from their lines.

  6. I love sugar plum fairy, and I actually really like the minty smell on lip products - it's much better than a weird chemical-y smell!
