Hey everyone! Now that I have my photographer back (a.k.a. my little brother) I'm back to fashion posting!!!
First off, is this BEAUTIFUL Wal G London dress! Everyone who reads this blog knows my wardrobe consists of white, black, grey, flannel shirts, and jeans if that counts as blue so this dress is right up my alley. ALSO as a side note I re-ombred my hair (actually my bff Kayla did it for me- shout out hey Kails! She works in a hair salon, so she also gave me a trim, thank goodness I needed it so badly!) So of course, this dress is right up my alley!
The cut of this dress makes it SO flattering, as it draws the attention towards the bust (but still gives us bustier girls coverage so we aren't falling out if you get what I mean), then cinches in at the waist, and flares out again at the hips. So if you aren't the perfect hourglass shape (because who is really?) this dress totally gives the illusion that you are!
I also really love the length of this dress as it hits low enough to not show your butt or have you worrying about bending down to pick something up, cuts your legs off right before those lovely "problem areas" but also is short enough to be flirty and not nun-esque (hey I'm allowed to say that i went to a Catholic school for nine years - I would have been shot for wearing a dress this length).
When I saw the dress online I thought it would be a cloth fabric, but in actuality the skirt portion is more of a spandex/neoprene material which is definitely more flattering as with this cut it won't highlight any unwanted areas that us ladies try and cover (trust me I know).
I paired the dress with my favorite black wedges, I don't think you can go wrong with black wedges. I think if girls could only own two pairs of heels the best options would be nude matte heels, and black wedges. I bought these from Urban Outfitters on mega sale (I think they were like $12?) by the brand Kimichi Blue but I'm sure these would be easy to find similar pairs. I actually wore these to my high school graduation - 2 years ago! I can't believe that!
For reference, I have this dress in a size medium. I am a UK 8/US 5 or 4 depending on the brand haha and I definitely could have gotten a small in this dress. I am always wary of buying smalls online as I'm worried my chest region won't fit into them, but the material of this dress is stretchy and would have allowed for that if you are looking to buy a dress from this brand!
