Kim-Oh-No!

Oops I did it again- white girl post to the max. But I don't even care because I am so ridiculously obsessed with this kimono....I know white girl problems. But I have been loving the kimono trend, I think even more than I love dresses. I love dresses for the simple reason that its a one-done deal. You can put on one item of clothing and you're good to go! But lets be honest (it may be just me) but you have to watch how you're sitting through the day, watch for strong breezes....etc.

With Kimonos, you can have the most basic items underneath and then you put a kimono on and you automatically look SO extremely pulled together I'm dying over them. At first I was going to wear shorts with this (as usual), I love wearing kimonos and shorts in the summertime - especially long kimonos. But for this, I thought let's talk about transitioning them into more fall appropriate outfits by switching it up and throwing some leggings into the mix! I also think that some people aren't very comfortable wearing a kimono longer than what is underneath- so here's to you folks! This is for you too!

Is this the obligatory kimono pose? I really just want to show the sleeves of this kimono and how it flows so effortlessly over the body. The top I wore underneath was just a sheer crepe white top with lace detailing at the bottom (jazzing it up a bit!) with some plain black leggings and extremely basic sandals from Roxy!

I wanted this outfit to be 100% on the kimono, and I truly think when you wear a kimono you don't want pieces of your outfit to be competing. So since the kimono itself is so elaborate (and gorgeous, can we have a moment to just focus on the print!?) I paired it with the most basic pieces that I also think any girl has in her wardrobe. I think that's really helpful so if you do decide to buy this kimono (I highly recommend!) you can literally find anything you already have in your closet to wear with it!

Am I a supermodel yet? Just kidding... I promise I'm not that conceited- when I edit these photos (I just change some of the colors to get the true colors of the pieces if you were wondering) I always think to myself "Wow what was I doing there...why is this even on my camera and what do the people walking past think!"

I wore a red lip and winged liner for my makeup and put my hair up in a bun. Like i said I didn't want anything to be competing with the kimono for the sake of this post and showing how gorgeous it is, but I think a winged liner and red lip is so classic you can't go wrong. Especially since I am leaning this post more towards the fall side of things I know we all love a darker lip in the fall so it only seemed fitting!

The print on this kimono is just GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!! Let's just admire it in this picture. The kimono itself is also so flattering and I kind of feel like a superhero when I wear it. When you walk it kind of blows out behind you like a cape- a.k.a. wonder woman?

Another way I would style this kimono is with super messy hair (a.k.a. my normal bedhead), minimal makeup, shredded denim shorts or jeans (but probably more like the boyfriend jeans) and a loose white tee!

I have been absolutely OBSESSED with matte white nails at the moment. The shade I used here was White Out from beautyuk as well as their Matte Top Coat. The midi ring is from bornprettystore.com which I did a whole review on, and the amber ring was a birthday present from my dad and brother (amber is huge in Poland and I am obsessed with amber rings). I am wearing Viva Glam I on my lips (gifted from the fabulous Dave Lackie twitter here and blog here) with a NYX lipiner just in the shade Dark Red I believe!

I hope you enjoyed this post and have been loving kimonos as much as I have at the moment!! have you guys been liking the new/different backgrounds in my fashion posts? I've been trying to change things up as I never want this blog to get boring or repetitive! Let me know what you think!
