Let's Get Naked // The Bathory

Que the new Lana Del Rey album, candles, dim lighting, and a nice warm delicious bath. Have I peaked your interests? Because that is definitely how I go about relaxing after a long week! Recently I was contacted by The Bathory* asking if I wanted to test out their line of personalized bath soaks, so of course I jumped at the chance!

So since The Bathory is the hot new brand in the blogosphere I'm sure you've at least heard of them, but I'm going to give you a quick rundown of the brand.

The Bathory is all about personalization, so when you go on their website you pick a type salt, and you have three options:
1. Bask - in a bath packed with three luxurious mineral rich salts
2. Soothe - my skin with hydrating oatmeal, honey, and buttermilk
3. Detox - with pure Epsom salts and Rhassoul clay to draw out toxins

Then you pick three essential oils to add, and they all come with descriptions of what they do- mine were Bergamot- The Uplifting One, Sandalwood- The Exotic One, and Ylang Ylang-The Sexy One.

I think this cute little picture they have on their site describes how the system works perfectly!

The soak comes in a beautiful dark (and I mean so dark it's almost black) purple glass jar, which is such a nice touch and gives it such an expensive feel. You know that feeling when you hold a product and just say to yourself "Damn, that's niceee!" That's how I feel with this.

When I first saw pictures of this I thought it was a black plastic jar, but after receiving it and seeing the dark purple glass it makes it so much nicer and I can think of so many ways to repurpose this jar after I'm done.

On to the actual bath! I used about 3/4 of the jar (although the jar says you can even use the entire thing "for the best bath of your life") and I had SUCH a nice relaxing bath. The smell I concocted (saying that makes me feel like I'm back in chem lab) is soooo nice and relaxing and delicious (I picked common noted from my favorite perfumes and scents I knew I loved) and the bath was actually pretty moisturizing.

I usually am not the biggest fan of taking a bath because my skin feels so stripped when I get out, but since I picked the "Soothe" formula which is aimed at calming the skin (I think it would be so ideal for people that suffer from skin problems like eczema) my skin felt like I didn't even need to use a moisturizer after my bath.

I absolutely love this company, and I think these will make the PERFECT gifts. When Christmas rolls around I think I will be getting these for some of the women in my family because it is such a nice product but is so personalized since you basically create it yourself.

Every girl can always use a nice bath in her life. Pair it with a face mask, put a hair mask in, put your favorite album on (my album of choice was of course my fav Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence), light some candles, and you have a recipe for a relaxing evening! And trust me I needed it after my first week of hospital rotations and tests!

I hope you guys found this post helpful and plan on getting one for yourself or even sending them as gifts! I know I will be
