5 Products in 5 Minutes

Hey everyone! Today's topic is a FOTD from during my finals week but more 5 makeup products to do your makeup in 5 minutes. I had stayed up all night to study for my physics final and when I looked at the time went "OH NO GOTTA GO!" (I had already gotten dressed while studying…had to do things to keep myself awake)

And so I looked at the clock and it said 7:41 AM and I thought okay lets see how fast I can do this since I have to leave by 8am. And I finished by 7:46

All the products above are everything I used…no extra brushes or anything (i know some people cheat and don't count brushes)

L'Oreal Mat Magique Mattifying Foundation- First I applied this, I had just bought it and A) wanted to test out the staying power by itself, B) wanted to see if it actually mattifies, C) wanted to see if it applied well with my hands and D) wanted something super quick but all my BB creams were from the sumer in California a.k.a. ten shades too dark. This lived up to everything as you can see in the pictures below (but I'll talk about it more there). This foundation gives a velvety smooth finish (and provides decent coverage) almost like benefit professional feeling but not SO velvety.

Wibo Eyebrow Stylist- Okay so this is a Polish product…but similar I think to Benefit Gimme Brow or MAYBE The Maybelline Brow Drama (haven't tried that). You have all seen the state of my brown, I  have to tint them, fill them in with powder, wax, etc. This is basically a brow mascara that doesn't budge. It sets your brows and like glues them to your face (which I like) and is the easiest brow product ever to use

Rimmel Extra Super Lash Waterproof- You thought Maybelline The Rocket Waterproof was hard to get off….then don't even touch this. However it gives really nice volume and really quickly, with one or two coats and doesn't transfer to my brow bone which I have a major problem with. I just got this mascara recently but so far I'm really liking it

MAC Warm Soul Mineralize BlushHoly bajeezus. If you are into peachy pink blushes with a bit of shimmer you NEED this in your life. like literally go run to a MAC store now and buy it. Once you see it you'll see what I mean. I'm going to do a whole post on this beauty soon but i used it since it has some shimmer to it, i don't need a highliter (well I could but we're running low on time here people).

Real Techniques Stippling Brush- I'm sure everyone and their mother has talked about this. Great for a light application of blush. When it comes to blush I'm so heavy handed it's ridiculous, so if you're like me use a stippling brush! Picks up less product and you don't end up with clown cheeks

Sorry that this picture is blurry but like I said, ten minutes left before I needed to brush my teeth, put shoes on, grab my stuff for my physics final (which by the way I got 100% on!) and head out the door. The lighting is also different between the two pictures because this was during a sunrise (the final was very early), and then it became overcast.

This shows the coverage of the foundation very well because you can still see my freckles but it blocks out all redness and covered most of those two pesky zits…so annoying they are right next to each other

I think this is a really nice look for any day. It takes five minutes, has that "no makeup look" and is what boys think girls look like bare faced lol. (Oh I also put some chapstick on after I left my apartment because it was cold and windy and snowy)

Here is a picture AFTER my physics test (you can tell by how brain dead and exhausted I look,,,and my hair is wet because I showered and it takes forever to dry and to top everything off it started raining on me walking back to my apartment) So this is a solid 6 or 7 hours after my morning makeup application without any touch ups (except for chapstick haha).

**Update: I got 100% on my physics test so I guess the exhaustion was worth it :)

If you look at my nose you can see where my glasses were sitting and the makeup rubbed off a bit but I haven;t found a foundation yet that doesn't transfer off when I wear my glasses. I think other than that this makeup held up extremely well and would be perfect for anyone either in a hurry or wants to go for the no-makeup look.

How often do you guys go for the no makeup look?

And what five products would you use to put your makeup on if you only had five minutes? :)

Aerin Ikat Jasmine Perfume // Review

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Ikat Jasmine perfume by Aerin (who is the granddaughter of Estee Lauder and has now launched her own line). This perfume was generously sent to me by Dave Lackie who is basically the king of beauty giveaways on twitter but more importantly owns the best online beauty magazine that I've come across yet. You can find the most recent edition at or just the website itself at It is the best most well though out (and FREE - my favorite four letter word) magazine online and is so easily accessible. Anyways this generous magazine editor gifted me this GORGEOUS perfume and I can't get enough of it. I can't stop smelling myself.

Look at that packaging. Can we pause just for a moment to stare at the beauty that is this perfume bottle. Each different perfume has a different gemstone on top depending on what it was inspired by. There are 5 perfumes in the line (this one, Lilac Path, Evening Rose, Amber Musk, and Gardenia Rattan)

"Ikat Jasmine personifies a modern woman – effortless style and intriguing femininity." - Aerin The impeccable pairing of Jasmine Sambac and Jasmine Egypt Infusion is enhanced with exotic Tuberose Fleur in a fragrance rich with velvety body and soft freshness. A delicate touch of Honeysuckle invigorates the senses, while Tuberose Infusion and Sandalwood add subtle intensity and luminous depth as captivating as the woman who wears it.

The scent is beautiful. At first you smell the strong Jasmine (very floral), and then it dries down to where you can smell more of the tuberose with some warmth and sweetness (which must come from the sandalwood and honeysuckle). This fragrance is simple yet beautiful, and if you like Jasmine you will adore this perfume. It is very versatile. It can either be dressed up or down; I currently wear it every day (gasp I've ditched my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle), but it wouldn't be out of place at any event.

I adore this perfume (if you can't already tell) and have worn it every day since receiving it. The wear time is INCREDIBLE but it isn't extremely overpowering. It doesn't have a super strong silage, which is nice because you don't want people to smell you before they see you, even if it is a good smell. Thank you Dave so much and I encourage you all to go check out his magazine because it is beautiful and the March edition is coming out extremely soon.

I really want to try more of the Aerin fragrances, I think Evening Rose will be the next one I set my sights on.

TRIANGL // Review

Hey everybody! Today I'm reviewing a brand I'm sure you're all familiar with TRIANGL which is an Australian swimwear and underwear company and the ladies over there were nice enough to not send me one thing to try out, but TWO! They sent me a bikini that they let me pick off of the website and a pair of underwear too! I opened up my email and saw their response I think I had to pick my jaw up off of the floor I was so shocked.

The cool thing about their company is they make their swimsuits out of neoprene (like a wetsuit) so your bikini won't stretch out (like most do) and will last you forever! So it's definitely worth the money, because this bikini will last you so long.

Since it's made out of neoprene, it doesn't have much give to it. To figure out what size you are they have a 24 hour customer service window open 7 days a week where you can live chat to someone and they'll help you. (I checked the time that I was talking to a lady and it was 2:40 am in Australia, so thank you for all your help!) I didn't know what size I was because a small is 4-6 and a medium is a 6-8 so I was chatting to them about which to get. Also when they told me I could try a pair of their underwear I didn't know what size or style to get, and I'm trying to convert to wireless bras. And as I was trying to decide between the two styles they informed me that one style had an underwire (but omg it's so beautiful it could just be worn as a top with a high waisted skirt or shorts in the summer). They also helped me pick the size for my top since I'm on the bustier side but small around the ribs (34DD for reference)

Since they're an Australian brand I thought it would take a while to get to me (they said 3-10 days) but I think it took 4 or 5? so really really fast!

The packaging it comes in is GORGEOUS! The underwear comes in a box like this (you'll see later how it opens) and the bikini comes in a neoprene beach bag! So you get a bikini and a beach bag that you can just wash out and hang up to dry just like your bikini.

So it comes packaged like this (obviously flat I just pulled the strings to show you can wear it like a backpack) in a bag that matches your bikini with the bikini packaged inside.

The top ties at the neck and on the back so I got a Large in Santa Rosa Splash* (like I said I'm on the bustier side) but I'm glad that it has two ties because I have the hardest time finding cute comfortable bikinis that fit around my chest and around my ribcage. (these pictures are true to the actual color of the bikini and isn't she a beaut?)

The bottoms are low rise but also have pretty good coverage and are tight to your body since it's made of thick neoprene. If I went surfing I'd feel completely comfortable that this wouldn't fall off if I wiped out. I got a medium for reference and it fits like a dream.

My dad has been a scuba diver for 38 years with 4,000 hours underwater and was examining my bikini like he examines a wetsuit and his first question "Do they make wetsuits for men?" and then the second statement was "Man why do girls get all the cool stuff." He was so impressed with the quality of the bikini and that's really saying something for it's quality. I trust his opinion on how it's made (he was looking at the seams and feeling the material and was extremely impressed.)

I would model it for you but it's kind of snowing and really cold outside…you'll see it so much on my instagram in the summer don't worry.

The underwear they sent me is made of micro mesh and is so soft, I literally have never felt a softer bra in my life. I'm trying to convert to wearing bras without wire because they've done studies that the wire can cause excess bone growth on your ribs and decrease the collagen in your boobs which keeps them perky when you're 95 so I'm trying to switch over and they were SO nice to send me some underwear to try too.

The underwear comes in the box and has a little pull out drawer. I got the color Champagne Coral* and it is so bright, neon, and so beautiful I can't get over it. I'm still in shock that they sent it to me.

The top is SO comfortable. I got a size Large and it isn't too big around when I have the clip on the shortest hook. It has good coverage, kind of like a bikini top, and the micro mesh is SO SOFT it feels like satin. The band is also made of nylon and spandex but is so smooth and beautiful (I'm wearing it right now) you can barely even feel the bra. The fabric is considered Demi Sheer but I don't find it too see through. I wouldn't try and go swimming in it but it isn't showing everything.

I've been wearing it every day since I got it and fell asleep in it…and it literally feels like I'm not wearing a bra but my boobs look nice. Best bra I've ever worn (counting Victoria's Secret, and any brand you can think of, I've tried them all because I have such a strange chest size it's really hard to find bras that fit me and this one fits like a DREAM). I need more of these bra and underwear sets. Plain and simple. I'm hooked. For a bra and underwear set for $45, that's the price of a CHEAP Victoria's secret bra. And they do have different styles than this one you can see here.

The bottoms are equally as comfortable (although I do wish they had different underwear styles) made of the same type of material as the bra. The colored part is the micro mesh and the black ridges are the satiny feeling nylon/spandex material (although I'm pretty sure the micro mesh is made of nylon and spandex too). So the bra and underwear do have a stretch to them, but because they are spandex they won't wear out and lose their shape.
I am SO impressed with this company and so grateful that they sent me not one thing to try out but TWO! Both fit like a dream, and if you follow me on instagram you will definitely be seeing this bikini probably the whole summer.
The only problem is now I want to try more of them. I want to try their bandeau swimsuits. They're SO CUTE! If you click the link they have a zipper at the front! This brand is so original and unique I am so happy I got the chance to try their products (but now I want more! and my wallet hurts as I think about it)
Have you tried this brand or been lusting after it like I was (I kid you not, I was lusting over these bikinis for over a year). Also…Spring Break is coming up for all my fellow Americans *nudge nudge* this would be PERFECT to get if you're looking for a new bikini. Their customer service is AMAZING they'll help you find the exact size (if you're wary about buying online...I talked with them and ended up with one that fits PERFECTLY) Just go on their website TRIANGL and you'll DIE they're so beautiful I want everything (can you hear my wallet crying? I can...) They have their bikinis in basically any color and style that you would want.
I know the rest of the world has a holiday coming up soon (?) and this would be perfect for it! Just give them a try and I promise you won't regret it. Their customer service is so wonderful you are sure to get a perfect fit. If you are in between sizes like I am (a small is size US 4-6 and a medium is 6-8) I would recommend going with the bigger size since neoprene isn't too forgiving.
Also their instagram is BEAUTIFUL! It makes me want summer so badly, I look outside and see snow and they're posting beautiful tropical locations with their beautiful bikinis. Jealous.

A Night at the Opera // Makeup

Hey everyone! If you saw my last post, you know I went to the opera with my family and saw Tosca. (if you didn't see it you can see it here) So since I did an outfit post, I thought I'd do a makeup post!

I decided to go for the classic, winged eyeliner and a red lip. Isn't that what we all do for fancy occasions? But minimal makeup on the rest of the face and light shadows on the eyes.

Here is a better picture of the eye makeup, I only used two colors on the lid. the first color in my Inglot palette, shade 111 (I did a whole post on my Inglot palette that you can find here) and MAC Malt in the crease (then I used the top two warm colors mixed together under my eyes for some definition 421+114). I think Malt is such an underrated color, it is perfect for just that tiny bit of warm definition you want in your crease.Think Omega but warmer with a peachy pink undertone instead of a cool light taupey brown undertone. (is taupey a word? I don't think so…) But also if you are REALLY tan I think malt is a bit too light for you to use in the crease but it would be a great matte color to go under the brow bone.

And then  I used my trusty never fail Maybelline Line Stiletto for my eyeliner. (if you aren't the best at eyeliner…or even if you are, line stiletto has the BEST applicator) The applicator is sort of like a sponge and holds enough product to do your whole eye but doesn't overload because the sponge kind of absorbs the product and releases it as you line your eyes. (I'm starting to realize this is a very strange description…)

Face Products: (these are a bit more self explanatory)
Foundation- Covergirl 3-in-1 Outlast (in Europe it is the Max Factor Face Finitiy 3-in-1)
Concealer: On the face- MUFE Full Cover Concealer, Under the eyes MAC Pro Longwear in NW15
Powder: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus
Highlighter: Inglot Sparkling Dust -Shade 2

Also my lipstick looks so funny because I kept (without thinking) putting the cap to my MUFE Concealer onto my lipstick instead of the cap since they look similar and it smashed it…not once, but twice -cry-

Cream Shadow Base/Primer: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded
Shadows: All over the lid: Bottom left Inglot shadow (111), in the crease, MAC Malt, under my eyes     for definition, the top two Inglot shadows (421 + 114)

A Night at the Opera // Outfit

Black Cut Out Back Dress - Fashion Union

Hey everyone! Recently I went to see Tosca the opera with my family and I wanted to do a little OOTN post (don't worry the makeup post is coming right after).

Since moving to Europe I didn't think that I would have to dress up nicely as I'm in medical school, but when a family friend asked if we wanted to go to the opera I chose to wear this black Fashion Union dress I got for Christmas and a pair of mary jane heels I got from this random store in the mall (helpful, I know)

I also wore it with tights because it's freeezzzziinnnngggggg and snowing so basically I ended up with an all black outfit (oops…)

I got the dress in a size 10 because I'm not quite sure of my UK sizing yet but it's a bit too big for me (I should have gotten an 8) as you can see it poofs out a little too much around my tummy…thats not all me haha it's the dress I promise.

When I first saw the dress, and on the website it looks like it's going to be made out of a satiny material, but in reality it's made out of stretchy (almost neoprene like) material. Think more like a wetsuit so it definitely has some give to it also. And I love the exposed zipper detailing. Lately I've been a fan of anything with an exposed zipper.

Do you like my outfit? Haha sorry for the lighting being weird, it was7 at night so I couldn't necessarily  take the pictures in good light, I did my best.

I am really loving Fashion Union at the moment though.

Share the Love // Bloggers

Hey everyone! This is a new series I wanted to start on my blog where I talk about (and have them talk about) blogs (or youtubers) I've been loving that aren't the huge ones everyone knows about (don't get me wrong I love them too). But I want to introduce you all to a few lovely ladies that I adore

"Hey everyone! We're Lauren and Claire and blog over at We first met at uni when we were 18 and now four years on and we work together and also share a little house in Coventry. Seeing as we spent most of our waking days talking about fake tan, mascara and whether or not we could pull off bowler hats, we eventually decided to start up our little blog so that we could stop boring each other and start boring the rest of the world instead! We blog about everything fashion and beauty related, and also have the occasional rant now and then too... If this sounds like your cup of tea/glass of Pina Colada, then we'd love you to pay us a visit and let us know what you think!" -Lauren & Claire

These two…OMG you will die of laughter reading their blog. They have such good content and are the funniest little pair I have seen in the blogging world. Definitely my glass of Pina Colada and I can almost guarantee they will be yours too. They blog about fashion AND beauty and their reviews never disappoint. Their fashion posts are actually relatable (not like some fashion bloggers that I swear get dressed, go out, take a few pictures, and then change…like they would never wear it out in public). These two definitely don't have fashion posts like that. They have super good content and reading their posts CRACKS ME UP. I think they are soooo funny and it's refreshing to see that in the blogging world because some people try and take their blogs so seriously. Needless to say you need to follow these two beauties, you'll love them.

Lacey Keith / LoveLaceyBeauty

"Hi everyone! My name is Lacey Keith and within the past year I started a blog and YouTube channel encompassing my love for makeup and beauty. I enjoyed blogging but after I made my first YouTube video I was hooked. I create new videos every week involving anything beauty related and love showing my creativity through video editing! I am also very active on social media and love posting first impressions of products on my Instagram! Thanks for taking time to read and make sure to show Stephanie lots of love! She was one of the first bloggers I got in touch with and she's the BEST! :)" -Lacey

I ADORE Lacey. She started out as a blogger which you can find here and then got into youtube. She recently revamped her blog and changed the layout and has a whole new look that looks super nice and I would LOVE if you could go check her out. I love her reviews, she is so helpful and informative and if you want to talk beauty with someone you can talk to her for hours. She is one of the sweetest people in the blogging/youtube community and I think she deserves more subscribers because her content is amazing. (and she has the best tutorial besides makeup on how to arm knit your own cute chunky scarf) So if you're into youtube (or blogging) I highly recommend her. She is so natural in front of the camera and so sweet you'll adore her Everyone talks about making good friends through the beauty community, for me that's Lacey. (twitter : @lovelaceybeauty)

Simply Steadman

"Hello lovelies! I'm Tanya, a 19 year old Chihuahua obsessed media student who writes a blog and reads in her spare time. I'm a big fan of the saying "com for is key" i"m not ashamed to say I pretty much live in my pajamas, hence why I don't do fashion posts…unless you want to see me model some fluffy Primark pajamas that is?" -Tanya

Tanya is the SWEETEST girl ever. Her blog is SO beautifully done and she has the best content (I don't know why she doesn't have even more followers than me! haha) She blogs over at I talk to her on twitter all the time and she is such a sweetheart. Her Posts are so helpful and informative and when I found her blog (through a twitter chat) I was over the moon and think I spent over an hour reading it (oops….) She has the BEST post on how to use fancy schmancy cameras and what all the settings mean which you can find here. (She uses a Canon 500D DSLR but used to use a Nikon D300 so she knows about all and I'm sure she can answer any questions you have) I HIGHLY recommend her blog (like all of these). She is so sweet (and tell her I sent you!). Her twitter is @SimplySteadman if you want to go say hi to her on twitter too. She has been blogging for a while and definitely knows what she's doing but for some reason unbeknownst to me doesn't have many followers. She is basically my spirit animal, we are the same person in different countries so if you like my blog you'll like hers.

"Hi! I'm Nicole a 21 year old business student who is the face behind Sleek-chic! Sleek-chic was born in August 2013 and what originally started as a blog about everything has evolved into more of a personal style and beauty blog. Fashion has always been a big passion in my life and you will usually find me on the aisles of Topshop or Primark and If i'm not there i will be in Boots tracking down the latest releases and painting my nails!" -Nicole

I LOVEEEE Nicole's blog. She has such good fashion sense and to kick it up a notch she does beauty reviews too. I aspire to have a wardrobe and fashion sense (and hair) like hers. Isn't her hair beautiful? That's what first got me starting to talk to her on twitter and now I would say we've become friends (I hope). Sometimes I find myself just going through her blog (hey it's not stalking...kind of) reading all of her posts and she has such good content it's easy to find an hour gone just sitting there reading her blog. If you want to chat to her on twitter its @sleekchicblog, and her blog (which is also linked in the title) is She's so sweet stop buy her twitter or blog and say hi! You'll love her. (and her beautiful long luxurious locks that I am always so jealous of every time she posts or tweets and I see them)

All of these blogs are blogs that I adore and talk to all of these girls on twitter religiously. They are all so sweet and don't get enough recogniton like most bloggers with less than like 5k followers do. I think I'm going to make this into a series, what do you guys think? Instead of having a blog roll because this way you actually get to know a bit about the blogger and what I think about them and let's face it most people use bloglovin to read blogs so they don't see the actual blog to find the blogroll.

I hope this gave you some new blogs to follow (and a new youtuber to watch), I follow and love them all and hope you will follow and alive them as much as I do :)

What are some of your favorite lesser known blogs?

Battle of the Micellar Waters

Hey everyone today I'm going to talk about how well these Micellar waters stand up to each other. Now we all have those lazy girl days where we just want to take our makeup off quickly and go to sleep.

Gone are the days of makeup wipes because there's a new kid on the block and all the  brands are interested. Bioderma, a French brand was the original one that started the craze and now L'Oreal, Garnier, and a lot of other brands (some are Polish or European so I won't mention them) have hopped on the bandwagon.

To test these out basically what I have done is just take my makeup off with the Micellar water and then not wash my face and see if I have any skin issues or acne in the morning.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection (Ideal Soft in Europe) Micellar Water- (200ml) I don't think this one lives up to Bioderma at all. I feel like this leaves a strange film on my skin when I use it and it has this SLIGHT smell that I can't put my finger on. Some people don't even smell it…but after I use this I feel like there's a film or a layer left on my skin. I did have some skin problems the mornings after so I don't think this one takes your makeup off entirely or clogs my skin up. I also had to use quite a bit of product, it takes two whole rectangular cotton pads and sometimes two round ones for my eyes. (and I still have to wash my face after)

Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water- (400ml) When I bought this, I was going in to buy a different micellar water, and I saw this beauty sitting near to L'Oreal Micellar water and it was 2PLN more (so like 50 cents) for double the amount. I'm always a fan of a good bargain so I figured I'd try it out. HOLY, MOLY. If you wanted a dupe for Bioderma then here it is ladies and gents. I took my makeup off with this and then fell asleep because I've ben pulling all nighters for my finals for medical school. I woke up and my skin felt soft and clean and not tight. Didn't put any moisturizer or toner on and my skin looked like a dream. I do think you have to use a tiny bit more product than with Bioderma but far less product than the L'Oreal one. I could take a full face of makeup off with one of those big square cotton pads. (this one also claims you get 200 uses out of it, so 2 ml a use…i don't know if thats true. I think it's relative to how much makeup you wear)

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water- (500ml) Now this is the one everyone knows and loves, except their wallet doesn't. It's hard to find, expensive (well more expensive than anyone would like) but no one has found an actual dupe for it. Until now. The Garnier one is a legitimate dupe for everyone's beloved bioderma. No smell, not irritating, almost feels like it moisturizes the skin, and takes off almost every last bit of makeup.

All in all I feel extremely confident saying that the Garnier Micellar Water is a complete dupe for Bioderma and is a lot more wallet friendly. You may have to use a tad more but not that much. That dent I've made in the bottle is after about 3 or 4 uses I think?

Here's to all the lazy girls that are horrible about taking their makeup off and would like more money to spend on buying makeup (since there will be a lot more money in your wallet).

Try it! Try it! Try it! Or have you already?

Inglot 364 Nail Polish Review // NOTW

Hey  everyone! Today I'm going to do yet another Inglot review, as they are slowly (and by that I mean quickly) becoming one of my favorite makeup brands...even though this is a nailpolish.

Now Inlgot has a line of "breathable" nailpolish for sensitive nails. I'm guessing it's to prevent you know that feeling when you take your nailpolish off and they feel like you need to put something back on them...whether it be a coat of nail envy, more polish, cuticle oil, or even lotion. I think the aim is to prevent that feeling...but this nail polish I have is not from that line (I'm sure I'll try it out soon though)

This picture is EXTREMELY color accurate (yay! go me!) and as you can see it is a beautiful purple toned grey. I tend to lean towards more neutral and light nail polish colors because it is far less noticeable when they chip (that is the lazy nail painter inside of me)

I adore this color and to give it a little test run all I applied was a base coat of nail envy and ONE coat of this. This nail polish is opaque in one coat, which is unusual for lighter nail polishes as I find the lighter the color the streakier and less pigmented they tend to be. I didn't put a top coat on to see how long the actual nail polish itself wore.

I didn't have any chipping for five days. That's right....FIVE DAYS. Mind you in my anatomy classes  am constantly putting on and taking off gloves and I go to an actual gym once a week.

This picture was taken on day 3 because I forgot to take a picture the morning after I painted them (I always paint my nails at night) and you can see how shiny it is without any top coat.

It cost 23 PLN which is about $6 or $7 (depending on the exchange rate) so a little less than an OPI polish in California with MUCH better wear. And Oh My Gosh the color selection. Holy Moly. Literally every color and shade of the rainbow. Almost one whole wall of the store (and it was a decent sized store...about the size of a MAC store) was filled with nail polish. I have to try out one of their glitters next to see how they hold up. The last time I went in there I was probably staring at the glitter polishes for about five minutes just mesmerized by how beautiful they are.

One question though, why do they have testers? In every beauty store. Do people actually paint their nails in the store?

Needless to say these are the best nail polishes I have ever tried and if you can get your hands on them I would strongly recommend if you see a color you like.

I hope you all had a nice weekend. What's your favorite shade of nail polish to wear?

Skin Care Savior // Nivea Creme

Hey everyone! Samantha over at has created another little blog series that I have decided to partake in! Every week there's a different theme which all of us bloggers post about, and this weeks theme is Skin Care Saviors! Now instead of rambling on and on and boring you to death since I already did an entire post on my favorites and routine which you can find here, I'm going to talk about this little gem most people have lying around their cabinets or somewhere in the house but often neglect it.

Nivea Creme, probably 4/5 of us have it but do we really use it to it's fullest potential? This is my favorite skincare product for the cold winter months (especially here in Poland where it's snowy and windy) or when you're sick and get that chapped skin under your nose.

For those of you who don't know what Nivea Creme is, it is a very thick, unscented creme that won't irritate your skin, clog your pores, and you can use it all over your body. You can see in the picture above how thick it is by how it stands up by itself on the bottom left edge.

You can buy it in small tins like this or in a bigger tub (which I'm going to after this tin runs out) and can put it on scaly alligator elbows like mine.

But most importantly of all, you don't need to buy a super expensive thick moisturizer to repair dry flaky skin. I am the biggest candidate for dry flaky skin on my nose and in between my eyebrows that makeup (foundation) clings to like no other but using this fixes the problem (almost) immediately. **which I've never had a moisturizer do before

This also works for when you are sick and blowing your nose and get that horrible dry chapped skin under your nose, after blowing your nose apply the Nivea Creme and I promise you you won't end up with dry angry chapped skin (this has been tried and tested many times)

Another thing this magic creme does is when you get the cracks on the corners of your mouth that build up when you pick at them (at least I pick at them) putting a thick layer of this on overnight for a few nights basically solves your problem.

So for a few pounds/dollars/whatever your currency is this is the best thing that could happen for winter skin. Every night (sometimes even in the morning) I apply this directly down the center of my T-Zone and when I wake up my makeup applies so much smoother and more evenly because this hydrates your skin so well.

Do you guys have any of this miracle creme lying around in a cupboard somewhere gathering dust?

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara // Review

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to review Covergirl's Clump Crusher Mascara (even though everyone on planet earth has probably reviewed it, always late to the party)

For all of you UK/Ireland/European girls out there this s the same thing as the Max Factor Clump Defy Mascara

Usually I am a natural bristle mascara girl all the way. I hate plastic wands because I feel like plastic wands are more for length and natural bristle wands are for volume, and since (in my opinion) I have decently long eyelashes I would prefer to go for volume than length. (I already get that mascara smudge from where your eyelashes tough the skin under your eyebrow)

I wish I knew how to edit pictures or use photoshop, I would edit that flyaway chunk of hair out haha
They say a picture is worth a thousand words and even though creepy eye pictures aren't always the cutest I HATE mascara reviews where they just show a picture from far away. Like cool... can't even see your eyelashes, what's the point of the review.

This picture all I have on is the mascara, no eye makeup at all. (Those are little mascara flecks on the left where it looks like it could be eyeliner, you never notice you have mascara flecks until you take a picture this up close of your eye) As you can see this mascara does a very good job of separating the lashes and as the name suggests leaves your lashes clump free. I did have to use a couple coats to get this look but it does add a bit of length and volume (only if you use more than one coat)

I always use waterproof versions of mascaras as I do wear contacts sometimes and have pretty oily eyelids and can have mascara transfer problems. Although it is no where near as waterproof as Maybelline The Rocket, it isn't as horrible as the L'Oreal Voluminous Waterproof Version (it's horrible don't buy it). I wouldn't go swimming or anything with this mascara on but I would say it would be safe to go to the gym with or use for a super hot or humid day.

Although I wouldn't know firsthand because I don't curl my lashes, I know girls with difficult to curl lashes use one base coat of waterproof mascara to lock in the curl and this would be great for that as it separates and combs out your lashes really nicely and makes a nice base for other mascaras.

I love this mascara for "No Makeup" days because it gives your eyes nice definition without having to put loads of eye makeup on and is a real time saver.

Although I do think I'll be going back to my natural bristle mascara wands after this I may return to this mascara as it really is a good mascara and would be a good finishing coat to any mascara that is great but can tend to get slightly clumpy since the wand would serve as a comb.
