One Dress, Two Ways!

WalG Nice to Pleat You Dress*
Hey everyone! I've got another fashion post today and with spring just around the corner I thought this is very fitting! WalG was kind enough to send me this GORGEOUS dress (which you would have already seen if you follow me on instagram! They even reinstagrammed my photo!!!)

But since Spring is basically here we're all getting the sun dresses out and the fake tan on (clearly I haven't fake tanned yet…oops), and I wanted to just show how you can take one dress and take it from daytime wear to a look you could wear to a nice spring garden party or something of the sorts.

Xenca Beauty Mink Eyeshadow Duo and Mascara | Review

Mink Eyeshadow Duo*/ http://www.thexencaway.co.uk
Hey everyone! Sorry it's been a while, but I have been so sick and so busy with school I haven't been able to post as often as I would like. Today I want to talk about a brand I have been LOVING! Xenca Perfection makeup which is an all natural, GMO-free, and paraben-free makeup line!

I was given the opportunity to try it by one of their lovely suppliers (you can follow her on twitter here, she's the sweetest person ever, such a doll!) I have been trying to slowly convert everything in my life to more natural ingredients (you'll see in my posts I have swirling around in my head waiting to be written) and when she offered me the chance to try some products I jumped at the chance and all I can say is I want to try their foundations, concealers, blush, bronzers, liquid eyeliners and more lipsticks too (they literally have anything you could ask for)! I ADORE Xenca and am so happy she gave me the chance to try it.

Spring has Sprung

H&M €50

Hello everyone! Spring has officially hit Eastern Europe, with all it's weird weather and all! Raining yesterday and today was a toasty 70F. Walking around with no jacket and short sleeves! But to control this moody weather I decided to ditch the warm fluffy winter jacket and opt for a lighter one!

I bought this beauty from H&M as you can see above which is much lighter (heh heh, my winter jacket was black so not only is it lighter in weight but it is also lighter in color). I usually see these jackets in an army green color so I think it's quite refreshing to see it in a lighter beige/khaki color.

beautyuk Prime FX Foundation Primer | Review

Prime FX Foundation Primer*   £3.99
The lovely ladies over at beautyuk sent me some amazing products to try so expect more reviews to come, but first I wanted to talk about the one that I was most impressed with, their Prime FX Foundation Primer*.
The primer comes out as a clear gel, and I just take about a pea sized drop and dot it on my nose, forehead, and chin and then spread it outwards. It does have a slight silicone feeling, a little like benefit porefessional but not nearly as close. It feels like almost a cross between benefit porefessional and a hydrating primer (that don't have that silicone, slippery feeling). I absolutely can't stand the Porefessional because I HATE the feel of it when I apply it and it breaks me out like crazy.

Frozen / OOTD

Blue Oversized Knit- inlovewithfashion
Thick Knit Leggings- Roxy (bought at Marshall's)
Boots - H&M
Was I channeling my inner Elsa? Yes. If you guys haven't seen Frozen I HIGHLY recommend it. It was amazing. I love the cobalt blue at this time of the year. I think it's super appropriate and on trend. But it also reminded me that wearing your hair in a braid can be chic and not just something you wear around the house instead of a ponytail to keep you hair out of the way. It's also perfect for bad hair days/frizzy hair days or rainy days when you know your hair is going to get messed up and already keeps it in place. I think the trick to a casual braid is after you braid it, pull on the pieces to kind of loosen it and it looks so casual but chic.

Maybelline Color Elixirs | Review

Hello everyone! Today I am here to talk about one of the most controversial products in the beauty community. People either love them or absolutely hate them. I, personally, ADORE them and want every single color in the collection: the Maybelline Color Elixirs!!

"Fall under the spell of the elixir effect. Hyper-saturated color, ultra cushiony feel. The new hypnotic lip sensation. A trio of concentrates delivers the color of a lipstick, the cushiony care of a balm, and the glass shine of a gloss. Our exclusive smoothing angora brush delivers a polished, even application and smoothing sensation to the lips."
L: Nude Illusion R: Signature Scarlet
The swatches above are just one swipe of product (let's not focus on how pale I am right now) and as Maybelline states, these are a gel formula that are basically a gloss, lipstick, balm hybrid. Being a gel formula it is a very thick product but not sticky or gooey or gloopy, it just feels kind of thick on your lips (I don't mind it but some people might) .

They didn't dry my lips out, in fact my lips felt softer after wearing this and even though the formula is really thick it doesn't feather or bleed outside your lipline. I've given these both a good test run and am happy to report that I now want every color in the line.

They do have pretty good staying power since they are technically a glorified lip gloss, around 2-3 hours if you aren't eating and although they aren't marketed as a stain the red (and I'm assuming the other dark colors) does stain your lips a bit.

The product DOES have a strong scent, I don't think it's offensive (like L'Oreal lipsticks-sorry L'Oreal, I love you but your lipsticks stink…in a literal sense) It smells kind of similar to the L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain whatever they were called, kind of floral, but these also smell kind of fruity at the same time. The scent is STRONG when you put it on but after a couple minutes you don't really smell it anymore although I have heard people say they think this smells like burning plastic? Not sure where they're getting that from. I've also heard that it tastes weird, but I got these quite late in the game so it's possible they did a tiny little reformulation to fix the initial problems.

I wanted to show you what the applicator looked like with this picture. It is kind of triangular as you can see in the pictures above which makes it really easy to get into the corners of your mouth, but the fabric it's made of holds a LOT of product so you don't have to dip back into the tube to cover your lips.

The stickers on the bottom are the only place that it says the name of the product (and are kind of hard to see and equally as difficult to photograph) and they also have numbers. So I have the colors 060 Nude Illusion, and 020 Signature Scarlet

I'm not sure when these launch in the UK/Europe but hopefully soon. I personally was not a fan of the Rimmel Apocalips, but these Maybelline Color Elixirs are basically everything I expected/wanted the Apocalips to be. So if you weren't impressed or were disappointed in the hype over the Apocalips but like the idea I strongly recommend these.

All in all, I am completely and utterly obsessed with these Elixirs. They are hydrating, have super intense pigmentation with one swipe and don't go patchy. The color you see in the tube it the color that is going to be on your lips, which I love because I HATE being mislead by packaging.

Because they do have  a really strong smell I would recommend just picking one up first (or if there's open ones in the stores from people swatching them, make sure you smell them and see if it is offensive to you).

But overall, I am obsessed with these and want every color in the collection. I think this is the first lip product where I've felt the overwhelming urge to need EVERY SINGLE COLOR in the collection. (except for the YSL Glossy stains but you all know I can't afford that)

Have you tried these?

Also if you haven't entered my teapigs giveaway you can do so here. It's my way of saying thank you to everyone who reads my little blog. I love you all and thanks so much for supporting me. I wanted to give back and give someone a chance to win some goodies from me :)

Monochromatic

Cardigan-Vintage
Oversized Shirt- Urban Outfitters (sale)
Thick Knit Leggings - Roxy (bought at Marshalls)
Stripe Twist Scarf - American Apparel
Riding Boots - Bakers
Systematic, hydromatic, ultramatic, why it could be greased lightning! Does anyone else get that song stuck in their head when they see the word monochromatic? I ALWAYS do, and now I bet you it's stuck in your head too :D

Today I'm back with another fashion post and here to show you how easy it is to throw together an outfit quickly when you have no time and look extremely put together.

If you follow me on lookbook, you'll have already seen a few of these pictures. I post my outfits there first as I don't have time to write a whole blog post on them haha.

So you can definitely see my hair in these pictures, which is my natural unruly hair, and magically once I put on this hair scarf (which has a wire in it so you just twist it and it stays) and POOF it looks good! (which my hair never looks good leaving it alone) Plus it is out of your face (and mouth if it's windy). I strongly recommend one, especially since it's so versatile, I've even had my hair up in a bun and wrapped this around it and it looks more fashionable :)

Everyone has some kind of cardigan (by the way does ANYONE know where I can find another cardigan that looks like this, I bought it at a vintage store probably four years ago and is my most worn item in my whole closet) that they can throw on over an oversized tee, and some leggings so you're extra comfy.

If you pair riding boots (or any tall boots you have) and a longer shirt, It kind of hides the fact that you aren't wearing real pants, and looks more acceptable than wearing short boots (although sometimes I do love short boots and leggings (you'll see that in upcoming fashion posts).

And if you're really short on time for your makeup, do your foundation, a bit of blush, your eyebrows, mascara and a dark lip and you automatically look super pulled together and is like the cherry on top of the sundae. (That's all I did here) I'm wearing MAC Viva Glam I which was sent to me by the fabulous Dave Lackie (click on his nam and it will take you to his twitter where he does the most amazing giveaways EVER), who is the editor of an amazing online magazine called Beauty the Guide. The latest edition is AMAZING. It has all the information about the upcoming spring trends and so much more and is so beautifully put together I still can't believe it's free. I genuinely adore the magazine, I even showed it to my friend who is Canadian and was like "omg it's like a legit magazine! I want to read the whole thing cover to cover and every edition right now!" Is it just me that despises paying for magazines? They don't have magazines that come with cool freebies outside the UK. But thank god there is finally an amazing beauty magazine that is free and online. Hey, eco-friendly. Go Beauty the Guide!

Anyways I hope you gained something from reading this post. I think it is a simple outfit, but looks pulled together. These are basic staples that most people have in their wardrobe even in varying colors (I'm just a fan of wearing neutrals as a personal preference) and I think ANYONE can wear this.

(on a side note I currently have a teapigs giveaway running! It is international and you can find it here. I really hope you guys enter because I love you all so much and really want to thank you all for following and supporting me)

Hope you enjoyed my post! I'm getting back into fashion posting and I really like it :) Except for the fact that it is soooo cold and windy outside when I take these (I had to delete so many pictures where the wind blew my hair across my face). And please if anyone knows where to find these oversized chunky knit "grandpa cardigans" as I call them please let me know! I adore them so much I want one in every color.

teapigs Review & (International) Giveaway [Closed]!

Hello everybody! Today I have a very exciting review and a GIVEAWAY WAHOO! The lovely ladies over at teapigs were kind enough to send me some tea to try (as I've been dying to try their liquorice and peppermint, as essiebutton is obsessed and let me tell you she does have good taste in tea). I also would like to take a moment to thank you all as I've reached over 2,000 followers on Bloglovin. I can't believe it. I can't even imagine 2,000 people let alone reading my blog. You are all so lovely and leave such nice comments, thank you for everything.

Onto the review, and then the giveaway!

Both of these teas are herbal teas so they don't contain any caffeine in them, and they are also made of basically loose leaf tea put into a cute little mesh "tea temple." The tea temples are also biodegradable (and don't contain any metal on them if you forget about your tea and need to microwave it…we all do it at least once), so that's always a big plus in my book.

"Real liquorice root with punchy peppermint leaves"

O. M. G. That is all I have to say. There are literally no words to describe my love for this tea, after receiving my package I've already started rationing my precious tea temples and trying to figure out the cheapest way to get more sent to me (shipping is a tad more expensive since I'm not in the UK). Honestly if you don't even like liquorice I think you'll like this tea. When you taste it, first you get a bit of the sweet flavor, then a refreshing peppermint, and then it leaves this sweet aftertaste in your mouth. It literally is exactly what they say on the package…a sweet treat. This kills my dessert cravings (and chocolate cravings during PMS ohhh boy) so you know it's got to be good. You don't need ANY sugar or sweeteners, it's just that good. teapigs, I am officially in love and addicted (curses now I have to buy more and pay the shipping in pounds! haha)

My dad despises peppermint things, basically minty foods or drinks in general, so I made him try this tea and he said "NO SUGAR? WOW. Even I would drink that. That's AMAZING!" And him saying that definitely is a BIG indicator of how delicious this tea is.

"Pure peppermint leaves that pack a punch!"

This tea is literally amazing. If you think you've tried peppermint tea before and they're all the same…well they aren't after tasting this tea. My family is a big fan of peppermint tea as it calms your stomach so we definitely have the house stocked to the brim with it and aren't newbies to the world of peppermint tea. This tea is so wonderful, mainly because it is made from pure peppermint leaves (in my opinion). If you like peppermint tea you need this in your life. No questions asked hands down. If you didn't know this before, peppermint tea calms upset stomachs (I think it's funny that it says "tummy tonic" on the package because I've been using peppermint tea for years that way!) but it doesn't contain any caffeine to keep you awake at night so you can drink it whenever your stomach hurts, or you really feel the urge for peppermint tea.

I let my brother be a tester (he ADORES mint tea. I would definitely call him a mint tea aficionado) and asked him what he thought and he said "It tastes like peppermint tea but somehow fresher, just more refreshing!" And he's also been rationing the tea bags! He told me it was the best peppermint tea he's tried to date, just when he thought he found his favorite brand here…in swoops teapigs

Here's a picture of the tea temple. Isn't it so cute??? And one of these babies easily makes two (large) cups of tea, so if you're worried about the price fear not! You get at least two uses from each tea temple (and if you're using a normal sized mug I'd say upwards of three or four). But as you can see in the picture they use high quality whole leaf tea (which is not what is usually found in a tea bag which is the reason people opt for loose leaf tea).

This is basically loose leaf tea put in a convenient little mesh tea temple (I can't get enough of saying tea temple) and is especially good for on the go (but you can also buy the tea loose from their website too! Just click the links I have above and you'll see).

They are also nice enough to include two free samples with your purchase which I think is great because sometimes you get to try flavors you never thought you would, and end up liking them a lot!

Also the website is so nice because they offer things where you can mix and match teas and create your perfect box, and they offer little sample sizes, loose leaf, big packs, and even gigantic sets if you find a flavor you're in love with (like me and liquorice and peppermint….I have a feeling I'm going to be browsing their site very soon). Just check out their site, I guarantee you'll find something you'll like. Plus they are the masters of creating teas that taste sweet but without any sugar hello diet friendly dessert!

\
Now what you've all been waiting for (and hopefully not just scrolling past all I've written just to enter the giveaway). This giveaway is open INTERNATIONALLY. You will receive one box of each tea, each containing 15 tea temples (which definitely gives you more than 15 uses).

You can also sign up to the teapigs newsletter on their site where they feature their news and DISCOUNTS. I would also LOVE if you could like their Facebook page www.facebook.com/drinkrealtea and follow them on twitter @teapigs (please please please!)

Black & Grey // OOTD

Grey Lurex Knit Sweater- inlovewithfashion
White Tank Top - Target
Jeans - Target
Riding Boots - Bakers
Hello everyone! A fashion post like a real fashion blogger on this blog? Gasp! I'm branching out my blog and deciding to show you what I wear on a daily basis. Comfy, cute, chic (well…in my opinion at least). The main focus of this look is all on this beautiful sweater I bought (using my store credit from blog posts) from http://inlovewithfashion.com They are a fashion website (I'm sure you've seen my wish lists from them) that has cute clothes for great prices.

In the two pictures above I wanted to show that the sweater is a bit shorter in the front and longer in the back hence why I wore a tank top underneath but if you are shorter than me (I'm about 5'5"/5'6") you probably wouldn't need to wear one.

*as a side note, how the HECK do all you fashion bloggers name your posts? It's SO DIFFICULT!

Grey Lurex Knit Sweater- inlovewithfashion
This sweater is cute, comfy, and warm and was a steal for only ten pounds! It is grey with gold threading running through it which makes it easy to wear mixed metals with it (I didn't because any metal turns into ice on my skin). In these pictures my hands almost froze to the rail! Oh the things we do for fashion posts. I don't have a nice location to shoot in either, I see some bloggers with these AMAZING locations for their fashion shots, yeah I'm on my patio of my apartment…keeping it real. At least now you know what my patio looks like, and the view I have, a nice brick wall.
Grey Lurex Knit Sweater- inlovewithfashion
Yes I know there's dirt on my shoes…I had to walk through some mud to get to class and my hair is kept natural and I'm wearing almost zero makeup but I mean this is how I look every day, and I think that's what these types of posts are about. How to look cute, (be WARM) and comfy on icy snowy days or just cold winter days. (Obviously I wore jacket over this outside)

Sometimes I think some fashion bloggers literally put on a crazy outfit, take lots of pictures, and then take it off and don't ACTUALLY wear it out. They are just posting it because it's "on trend" or "high fashion" and want their readers to think that's what they wear.

I obviously wore this out all day and was perfectly comfy. I had three classes and was out for about a solid 8 hours and the sweater wasn't itchy and didn't ride up and start to look weird. As you can see it still looks super cute with the sleeves pushed up (you would think all sweaters do but trust me some definitely don't look good worn like that).

I hope you took some inspiration from my post perhaps, because I feel like most of these are basic staples people have in their wardrobe. And maybe you even found a new website to buy from, they have a ten pound and under section…it's amazing!

From now on you're going to be seeing a lot more fashion posts on my blog and I just hope you like them!
